Come along to a Kickstart AI Meetup in collaboration with Data Science Rotterdam and meet like-minded people who really make AI happen. Our events create a platform for you to learn from the best and share your own expertise too — helping us all to get further, faster! 🚀
Join us on 3 August at our Kickstart AI Meetup! Taking place at the fringe of the Amsterdam Pride Festival, we'll be talking about a very important topic: how we can use data and AI to make public spaces more accessible for everyone.
- Date: 3 August 2023
- Time: 18:00 - 21:00
- Location: The Hacker Building, Amsterdam
Amsterdam Pride Festival is a time to celebrate difference and diversity! While we love a good party, there's still a lot of work to be done in making the world a safe and welcoming place for all kinds of people. And that's something AI can help with.
We'll be joined by Daan Bloembergen (AI Team lead within the Urban Innovation and R&D department of the City of Amsterdam), who will talk us through the Amsterdam for All project.
Amsterdam for All: using data and AI to improve the accessibility of the public space
In this talk Daan will give an overview of the Amsterdam for All project, which aims to assess and improve the accessibility and inclusivity of the public space using data and AI. Last year the City of Amsterdam conducted a number of pilot projects, and currently they are working to bring these results together in a prototype for a personalised route planner.
About Kickstart AI Meetups
Kickstart AI is a non-profit initiative by four corporations (Ahold Delhaize, ING, KLM and NS) that aims to accelerate AI adoption in the Netherlands, and improve society through the use of AI. We're hosting monthly Meetups for data scientists, software engineers, and tech professionals working closely with AI. Meetups are a fun way to network with like-minded people and find out about what’s going on in the Dutch AI community in an informal setting.
